There are even cameras that can record sounds. It is capable of transferring and displaying photos to your other devices like computers, mobile phones and other handheld gadgets.

Each digital camera differs in features and capacities. It also comes in different sizes. Some are very compact just like the size of your cellular phone. The professional units are bulkier. There are some with high color quality while others have low color quality. There are also digital cameras that have higher memory capacity while others only can store a few picture.

Along with the many models and newer versions come the numerous digital camera accessories. One of the most common is the flash memory. It is a kind of storage data device inserted in the camera so it could take much more pictures. It comes in different capacities like 1GB or as high as 16GB. It can be inserted in card readers so you could transfer picture files from one device to another.

Memory cards are where you store your photos and videos while you have not yet transferred them to your computers. It is better that you buy the largest capacity possible because you will need it to store more than a hundred photos from your digital camera. You will need only one memory card if it is large enough.

Batteries and chargers are also very important. You need to have a spare battery so that you would not be caught in the middle of a special occasion without a spare if the current one runs out of charge. There are digital cameras that do not have charger; you have to buy your own charger and extra battery. But it is best that you choose the digital camera equipped with a charger.

Cases and bags help protect your expensive cameras. It cushions the device to absorb the impact in accidental falls. Most of these are also weatherproof. A camera kept inside these accessories will be safe from the rains. It may be damaged if the camera gets wet. There are also scratch and dust protectors.

A photo printer is the best next thing that goes along with your cameras. You could print your photos anytime and compile them in an album. There are many ways to view them digitally but printed photos are still better. The album could be shared and carried with you in reunions or other social gatherings.

Tripod is useful to your digital camera especially during at night. This is needed in shots where there are slow shutter speeds. On long telephoto, you also need this tripod. You need this to avoid blurred shots.

Lenses and filters are the ones that can help you reach clearer vision even at a larger distance. Remember that not all digital cameras can be used with optional lenses.

Underwater cases are good for all those who like underwater adventures. You must be able to find one that can be best for your camera. This can also protect your camera from dirt and beach environment.
